As a musician and producer, Sebastián Griz has remained constantly evolving, developing his own method in order to use the studio creatively as another instrument.

From the beginning, with no tools other than an open tape recorder, he has made the most of the expressive and experimental possibilities available to him. Years later he complemented his empirical and self-taught knowledge by attending a sound course.

Today, he counts on his experience with the production of his own and others' albums, demos, soundtracks and podcasts.

Through different projects he has played:

Guitars (electric, acoustic, classical, 12-string, baritone, fretless, midi, dobro), bass guitar (fretted and fretless), voice, sitar, bandurria, mandolin, charango, keyboards, samplers, piano, electric piano, synthesizers, Hammond organ, ukulele, tanpura, Spanish lute, didjeridoo, banjo, gopichand, harmonium, kalimba, minor percussion, melodica... he has done midi programming, Indian tabla sampling, effects sound design, midi programming of drums, percussion, classical orchestras, wind sections, ethnic ensembles... everything that the situation and the artist could require for a better development of their expressiveness.

He has also regularly been in charge of artistic production, and as a recording, editing and mixing technician at his Paranoia Studio, and occasionally in studios such as Casablanca, Kunkalla, Golden Cat, and others.

SEBASTIAN GRIZ (solo artist) - 160 habitaciones vacías

As a composer and arranger, Sebastián stands out in the fusion of styles, combining psychedelic rock and world music (Arabic, Indian, Central African, Latin American, Japanese, Spanish, among many others), calling his style ETHNODELIA.


In 2016 he published his first solo album, “160 habitaciones vacías” (160 empty rooms), in which he performs vocals, electric, acoustic, classical, fretless and slide guitars, bass, fretless bass, midi bass programming, sitar, tanpura, keyboards, MIDI percussion programming, tabla sampling and editing, and effects synthesis.

He was also in charge of recording, editing, mixing and mastering, and of artistic and executive production.

As guests, this album features Pedro Locubiche (darbukas, djembe, minor percussion), Giuliano Cobelli (drums), RANroger (flute), Gyan Singh (tablas), Daniela Brantschen (cello), Lucas Balbo (Peruvian cajón, minor percussion), Marko Jelaka (drums), and Laura Cabral (cover design).

SEBASTIAN GRIZ (solo artist) - Flores del limbo

In 2018 he published “Flores del limbo” (Flowers from limbo), this time performing vocals, guitars (electric, acoustic, classical, acoustic 12-string, slide, e-bow), sitar, bass guitar (fretted and fretless), keyboards, minimoog, drum programming and percussions ( djembe, sangba, dununba, bass drum).

He was again in charge of recording, editing, mixing and mastering, and also artistic and executive production.

On this occasion the guests are Willy Quiroga (bass guitar), Pedro Locubiche (congas), RANroger (flute), Daniela Brantschen (cello), Joel Antas (didjeridoo), Emiliano Billordo (bombo legüero), Mark Monsalvo (acoustic guitar), Carles Grima (darbuka), Amandine Faucher (French translation), and Marina Thomé (Portuguese translation).

MARIPOSA LUNAR - Conjuro

It was a group that fused music from different cultures and eras without focusing on any one in particular.

Based mainly on compositions by Sebastián Griz, it showed features of Arabic, Hindu, South Saharan, Southern and Central American, Celtic, Anglo-Saxon, Japanese music... performed with acoustic and electric sounds.

In this album Sebastián is in charge of the composition and lyrics of all the songs, electric, acoustic and classical guitars, midi programming of percussion and bass, backing vocals, artistic production, and contributes with the drawing and shape idea of cover.

Also participate in the album Billo Atzori on congas, bongo, djembe, darbuka and minor percussion, and developing the technical design of the cover, Laura Cabral is in charge of management, photography and image and video editing, Edgar Edo participates playing the bass and as sound assistant and Gerard Espert is the recording, mixing and mastering technician. Between the five of them they are in charge of the executive production of the album.

Other musicians from the group who appear on the album are Daniela Brantschen (cello), Sebastián Serpell (lead and backing vocals), Clara Butler (Irish flute and backing vocals), and Daniel Tomikián (drums).

They also have as guests Maurizio Talgieri (lead vocals), Joel Brooks (didjeridoo), Juan Motta (guitar solo), and Gyan Singh (tablas).

NOTHING CONCRETE - EP inédito

At the beginning of 2013, Sebastián briefly participated in the Anglo-French group Nothing Concrete, with whom he gave a series of concerts around London and participated in the recording of a 4-song EP at Pear Studios.

In this unreleased EP, Sebastián plays ukulele, dobro, mandolin, banjo, and in live performances he also adds charango, sitar, classical and acoustic guitar, and voice.

MAURIZIO TAGLIERI - Burning down my soul

Maurizio Taglieri is an artist born and based in Milan, Italy. He is a singer, composer, lyricist and guitarist.

Previous collaborations include him recording vocals as guest on the album Conjuro by Mariposa Lunar, and collaborating on several demos for the CatFusió cooperative.

Along with Sebastián Griz they recorded the album BURNING DOWN MY SOUL, completely composed of songs by Maurizio.

The album includes funk, soul and signature songs, arranged by Sebastián with a light touch of ethnodelia.

On this album Maurizio is in charge of the lead and backing vocals, acoustic guitar (in “Won't you stay”), composition and authorship of all the songs. Sebastián, for his part, plays classical, electric and acoustic guitars, bass guitar, fretless bass guitar, minimoog, hammond organ, electric piano, and bandurria, and made MiDI programming for drums, calabash and bombo legüero. He is also responsible for recording, editing, mixing and mastering, artistic and executive production, arrangements, and direction.

As a guest, they have Laura Cabral, who is in charge of photography and cover design.

VASUDEVA-GRIZ - Simbiosis

Tashi Vasudeva is an artist born in Catalonia, but culturally very influenced by India. He is a drummer, composer, writer, poet and multi-instrumentalist.

Previous collaborations include him being the drummer of Mariposa Lunar, and doing numerous concerts and jams together with them.

Together with Sebastián Griz they compose and record the album SIMBIOSIS, in which they include 2 songs from each one and a version of Luis Alberto Spinetta, translated into Catalan: Bajan, titled Baixen for the occasion.

The album moves between ethnodelia and progressive rock, styles that both artists share among their favorites.

In this album Tashi is in charge of playing electronic drums, vocals and recite, contributes composition and authorship on 2 songs, and he is in charge of recording the drums and his own voice. Sebastián, for his part, plays classical, electric, e-bow and baritone guitars, vocals, sitar, electric bass guitar, minimoog, Hammond organ, and Mellotron, and does the MIDI programming of synthesized sounds, organ´s bass, cello, string section, double bass, tabla, Chinese percussion, cajón, darbuka and congas. He contributes the composition and authorship of 2 songs and is also in charge of recording (except Tashi's drums and vocals), editing, mixing and mastering, artistic and executive production, arrangements, an direction.

As guests they have Ana de Gracia (voices in “La llave”) and Jaume Folch (Catalan translation of “Bajan”).

Over the years, Sebastián has participated as a guest in numerous projects by other artists, both albums and singles and also demos. Some of them are:

RANroger: On the album Sound Connection, he participates playing sitar on the song "Tapa't" and sitar on "Tapa't" and "Manta".
