At the age of 14, he began to write poetry and short stories. A few years later, he began to publish his poems and some stories in Beatrizos Magazine, and eventually also in print and electronic media.

After many years of writing, and after making a selection, he sees that he has enough poems to make up to 5 books. Due to this he decides to publish, in order to be able to show them to the public.

Whit this intention, he decides to group the poems and stories according to their themes, instead of by era.

So, he will publish a new selection from time to time, having started in December 2023 with poems of social criticism, in his book "Babilonia and the sunflowers".

Regarding his style, in poetry he is influenced by writers from different eras, origins and styles, highlighting Ibero-American poetry, traditional Chinese poetry, and to a lesser extent, Francophone and Anglophone writers, both poetry and song lyrics.

Notable authors within his poetic influence would be Oliverio Girondo, Jorge Luis Borges, Alejandra Pizarnik, Luis Alberto Spinetta, Alfonsina Storni, Violeta Parra, Antonio Machado, Juan Ramón Jiménez, Liu Yun, Wang Sung, Charles Baudelaire, William Blake, Roger Waters, among others.

As regards his influences in writing stories, Carlos Castaneda, Jorge Luis Borges, Julio Cortázar, Horacio Quiroga, Edgar Allan Poe, Eduardo Galeano, José Luis Sepúlveda, among others, could be highlighted.

BABYLON AND THE SUNFLOWERS (poetry)

Babylon and the sunflowers focuses on social, institutional and human criticism. He not only rants against institutions, but also against the mediocrity, stupidity and conformism typical of a large part of individuals.

Thus, Babylon, “the mother of harlots and abominations of the earth,” is the promoter of what is harmful and empty, superfluous and deceitful, but poems are also dedicated to those who do nothing but shake their heads, blinded by their shine (the sunflowers).

Publication date: December 21, 2023

STORIES AND TALES

At the moment he has only published individual stories sporadically in Revista Beatrizos, and eventually in digital media.

One of those stories is "The other child", which is part of an autobiographical series with a Latin American existentialist style, influenced by authors such as Jorge Luis Borges, Julio Cortázar, and Luis Sepúlveda.
