Sebastián Griz is an Argentine artist based in Barcelona. As a composer and arranger, his work focuses on ethnodelia, a fusion combining psychedelia, rock and folk traditions from different regions.
He has toured and performed in various cities across Catalonia, Spain, Argentina, England, Austria, Morocco, Italy and Portugal, presenting his own compositions. He has worked as performer, author, composer, artistic and executive producer, musical director, arranger and sound engineer in recordings and performances by different artists.
He was one of the creators and producers of the Festival de la Diversidad Musical Under (FeDMUn). He also organized for three years the first stable ethnic and experimental jam session in Barcelona (the “ethnodelic jam”), both with the group Mariposa Lunar and as a solo artist.
Other activities include collaborating with the literary and cultural magazine Beatrizos since 2000; composing music for spiritual retreats in the Sahara; recording soundtracks (finalist at Barcelona Visual Sound); composing music for theatre productions; presenting multimedia exhibitions combining drawing, poetry and music; producing albums for himself and other artists; working as a session musician and/or sound engineer; exhibiting paintings; producing artistic events in Barcelona and Buenos Aires; giving lectures on music in Spain, Austria and Argentina; serving as board member of the Asociación Entre Versos; and participating in organizations dedicated to promoting culture and the arts.
