Studio

Production and studio

As a musician and producer, Sebastián Griz has remained in constant evolution, developing his own method in order to use the studio creatively as yet another instrument.

From his beginnings, with no more tools than an open-reel tape recorder, he squeezed the expressive and experimental possibilities of what he had within reach. Years later, he complemented his empirical and self-taught knowledge by taking an audio engineering course.

As a composer and arranger, Sebastián stands out for blending styles, combining psychedelic rock and world music (Arab, Indian, Central African, Latin American, Japanese, Spanish, among many others), calling his style ETHNODELIA.

To this day, his experience includes producing his own and other artists’ albums, demos, soundtracks and podcasts.

Through different projects he has played:

Guitars (electric, acoustic, classical, 12-string, baritone, fretless, MIDI, dobro), bass (fretted and fretless), voice, sitar, bandurria, mandolin, charango, keyboards, samplers, piano, electric piano, synthesizers, Hammond organ, Minimoog, ukulele, tanpura, Spanish lute, didgeridoo, banjo, gopichand, harmonium, kalimba, small percussion, melodica... he has done MIDI programming, Indian tabla sampling, sound design for effects, MIDI programming of drums, percussion, classical orchestras, horn sections, ethnic ensembles... everything the situation and the artist might require for a fuller development of expression.

He has also routinely handled artistic production, and worked as recording, editing and mixing engineer in his Paranoia Studio, and occasionally in studios such as Casablanca, Kunkalla, Golden Cat, among others.
